Jillian Augustine

Associate Director of Admissions & Financial Assistance

As a seasoned admissions counselor, Jillian has worked closely with first-year and transfer students from across the country. And her work has offered her insight into the challenges people face when looking for a change in their educational plan. Before joining the Institute, Jillian served as Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). Before RIT, she worked in admissions at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Like many of our faculty and staff, Jillian says perseverance is one of the most important values she shares with Golisano Institute. “It’s all about facing adversity and persisting. We all encounter obstacles, detours, and loss, but you can use those experiences to fuel your path forward and lead a wonderfully intentional life.”

Q&As

Why did you decide to join Golisano Institute?

I chose to join the Institute because I believe that post-secondary educational alternatives are necessary now more than ever. Each student is different, therefore options for different paths are needed. On top of this, I believe in the importance of financial freedom; a student should not have to go into debt to receive a high-quality education.

What’s your favorite quote?

I love the saying, “Bloom where you’re planted.” To me, this means you should always try to make the best out of any situation. Your mindset is everything. Be grateful, practice positivity, and offer grace.
